Jack Staid

Hello! I'm Jack, currently working at Harvard University Health Services. Later this year, I will begin studying Transport and City Planning at University College London (Bartlett School of Planning).I'm interested in transport systems and how improving them can make cities more equitable and sustainable. Yes I'm Changing

I originally started working on this cover in April 2022 -- it took until October 2023 to actually finish it. I had it 90% done for most of the past year, and just never got around to working on it. I'm happy with how it came out -- I think the chords in this song lend themselves quite well to this kind of ambient/drone type of arrangement.Nearly all of the work I did this year was with the vocals. I tried re-recording them a few times, but in the end, I ended up going back to my original placeholder take that I'd done way back at the beginning. That's what most of what you hear, particularly in the first verse. Shoutout to pitch correction software.
